Content Removal Requests

How to ask us to remove or correct something, and what happens next.

Last updated July 2026

When to use this

  • Your photo, video or music is used without permission
  • Information about you is inaccurate, outdated or unlawful
  • Someone is impersonating you
  • Content violates your privacy
  • Content breaches our community guidelines

What to include

  • The exact address of the page and the specific content
  • Who you are and your relationship to the material
  • Why it should be removed or corrected
  • For copyright claims, evidence that you hold the rights

What happens next

We confirm receipt, review the request, and where appropriate remove, restrict or correct the material. If we decline, we explain why. Where content is factual and independently sourced, we may correct it rather than delete it.

Correcting an error and erasing a documented career are different things. We will always fix inaccuracies, but a well-sourced historical record is not removed simply because a subject prefers it were not there.
