Biography

Keti Sharif began belly dance at seventeen and later moved her professional life increasingly toward Egypt. She spent approximately two decades living between Cairo and the Red Sea and performed professionally with live Egyptian music. During those years she collaborated with Egyptian musicians and artists and directed cultural programmes and festivals. Keti created the **A–Z Bellydance** methodology, a structured educational system linking movement vocabulary with Arabic rhythms and musical interpretation. Her later BellySoma work expanded this foundation into somatic movement and body-awareness practices. With thousands of students across dozens of countries, she has become one of Australia's most internationally influential Oriental dance educators.
