Mohamed Shahin

Mohamed Shahin was born and raised in Cairo and discovered Egyptian dance as a teenager. He later moved to the United States and developed a full-time international teaching and performing career. His repertoire includes Raqs Sharqi alongside a broad range of Egyptian folkloric styles. Shahin has taught at festivals across many countries and has become especially known for combining technical clarity with cultural explanation. His career makes him an important contemporary bridge between Egyptian source traditions and the international Oriental dance community.
